COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 13, 2009 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on January 13, at 5:30 <br /> PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. <br /> The Mayor welcomed Mr. Tommy Bryant, Ms. Margarett Henley and Mr. Richard <br /> O'Neal as newly elected Councilmembers. Councilmember Matthews gave the <br /> invocation. Upon roll call the following Councilmembers answered present: <br /> Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Matt <br /> McDonald, Richard O'Neal, and David Shetron. City Clerk Denise Johnston and <br /> City Attorney Scott Stalker were also present. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Matthews seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> (A) MR. JOHN SCHWAKE WITH FIRE STAR TAXI REGARDING <br /> FRANCHISE <br /> Mr. John Schwake with Fire Star Taxi addresses the council requesting an <br /> exclusive taxi franchise. The council discussed the request and concluded to <br /> deny the request. <br />
