MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JUNE 10, 2008 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on June 10, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Carpenter gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following councilmembers answered <br /> present: Doug Matthews, Matt McDonald, Trula Pectol, David Shetron, Paula Terrell, <br /> R.L. Carpenter and Fred Krug. Also present were the Deputy City Clerk and the City <br /> Attorney. Councilmember Smart came in after the roll call had been taken. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Matthews seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Terrell seconded and all voted for. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) ENGINEER'S REPORT, DAMON JOHNSON <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson updated the council on the current <br /> negotiation talks with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. The <br /> City has been in violation for four consecutive months in regards to the <br /> wastewater treatment plant. Mr. Johnson along with Mr. Jim Ulmer from <br /> McGoodwin, Williams and Yates told the council that steps needed to be taken <br />
