Mayor Elumbaugh congratulated the coach and players for <br /> their first year and wished them continued success. <br /> (B) JEFF PENDER REGARDING BRICK FOR THE ANIMAL CONTROL <br /> BUILDING <br /> Animal Control officer Jeff Pender addressed the council asking to <br /> continue the brick to the back of the animal control building. Mr. Pender showed <br /> the council pictures where dogs have chewed the siding off the building when <br /> they are housed in the outside pens. Mr. Pender had two estimates, the lower <br /> being $1,600.00 for the brick and labor. Councilmember Matthews moved to <br /> accept the low bid and have the brick place on the building. Councilmember <br /> Krug seconded and all voted for. <br /> (C) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson gave a quick update on city projects. First <br /> Mr. Johnson said he had received a city bypass draft from the highway <br /> department. He said the bypass is not currently on the table but needs to be <br /> included in our long term plan. Mr. Johnson said he and the Mayor will review <br /> the 5 or 6 options presented by the highway department. <br /> The Wastewater Treatment Plant will not be in permit this month primarily <br /> due to all the recent rains but he hoped to be in permit next month. A public <br /> hearing has been set for May 22nd at 6:30 PM at City Hall which is a requirement <br /> for the loan the City has applied for to upgrade the wastewater plant. <br /> The Water Treatment Plant upgrade is progressing well. <br /> The Main Street work is all but finished and should be resurfaced soon. <br />
