MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JULY 24, 2007 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on July 24, at 5:30 PM <br /> at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Matthews gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, <br /> Trula Pectol, David Shetron, and Paula Terrell. Councilmember Smart was <br /> absent. The City Attorney and City Clerk were present. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Terrell seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Terrell moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> PROPOSAL FROM THE GIRL AND BOY SCOUTS <br /> Mr. Ron Richardson and Mr. Rich Florczak addressed the council asking <br /> to establish a committee to consider a proposal from the Scouts to use the old <br /> Animal Control facility and surrounding property for the Scouting groups in this <br /> area. Mr. Florczak said there are approximately 400 Scouts in our area. The <br /> council agreed to appoint a committee and Councilmembers Shetron, McDonald <br />
