LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Councilmember McDonald said the new Farmers Market should be open by mid <br /> next week with a Grand Opening planned for the first week in October. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Matthews told the council that the new A & E School sponsored <br /> by the Municipal Airport and UACCB has 14 student enrolled and was off to a good <br /> start. <br /> Dr. Matthews also commented on his recent trip to Colorado with the City <br /> Engineer Damon Johnson and Wastewater Plant Supervisor Eugene Townsley. Dr. <br /> Matthews said they visited 5 Wastewater Plants and the trip was very informative. <br /> Councilmember Smart said he had received a couple of calls regarding the City <br /> Parks. He said one was concerning trash at Fitzhugh Park and the other was unsafe <br /> playground equipment at Riverside Park. Mr. Smart was told that the unsafe <br /> playground equipment is in the process of being removed from the park. The Mayor <br /> said he was check in on the complaint regarding trash at Fitzhugh Park. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Matthews moved that the <br /> meeting be adjourned.
