MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JANUARY 9, 2007 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on January 9, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Councilmember <br /> Krug gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following councilmembers answered present- <br /> R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, Matt McDonald, David Shetron, Stephen <br /> Smart and Paula Terrell. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Jerry Pectol was absent. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh opened the floor for citizen comments. Mr. Naomi Jones <br /> addressed the council with concerns of a burned-out house located at 1970 Carol Street. <br /> Ms. Jones said the fire occurred on May 20th and to date there has been nothing done to <br /> clean up the property. <br /> ROUTINE BUSINESS <br /> Councilmember Krug moved to approve the minutes from the previous two <br /> meetings and Councilmember seconded. All voted for. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> "CONSIDER CHANGING THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh asked the council to move the next scheduled council meeting <br /> from January 23rd to January 30th to allow more time to work on the 2007 budget. <br /> Councilmember Smart so moved and Councilmember Matthews seconded. All voted for. <br /> "CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT RULES OF PROCEDURES <br />
