Councilmember Terrell introduced an ordinance to adopt certain rules of procedures for the transaction of business of the council for 2007. City Attorney Stalker read the ordinance by title only. Councilmember Krug moved to suspend the rules for the second and third readings. "CONSIDER SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CLOSE AN UNUSED PORTION OF A DEDICATED STREET OFF HIGHWAY 167 AND WHITE DRIVE Property owner Jim Butler and Attorney Steve Bell addressed the council asking to set a public hearing to close an unused portion of a dedicated street that is located east of the intersection of Highway 167 and White Drive. The council was provided a copy of the petition to vacate signed by the owners; Jim and Cindy Butler, J.D. and Cindy Allen and Jeff and Tammy Angel. Councilmember Krug moved to set the public hearing for the next scheduled council meeting of January 30th at 5:30 PM. Councilmember Matthews seconded and all voted for.
