MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> SEPTEMBER 12, 2006 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on September 12, at <br /> 5:30 PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Ms. Nicky Baker, a student from Lyon College gave the invocation. Upon roll call <br /> the following councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, Fred Krug, <br /> Doug Matthews, Jerry Pectol, David Shetron, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. <br /> Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember Mynatt <br /> was absent. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF LYON COLLEGE SCOTS AND PIPERS BASKETBALL <br /> TEAMS <br /> Councilmember Krug introduced Lyon College Pipers Coach Tracy Lang <br /> and Scots Coach Kevin Jenkins to the council who in turn introduced their <br /> players for this year's basketball season. The coaches invited the council to <br /> attend their games and support the Scots and Pipers and then gave the Council, <br /> Mayor and Clerk t-shirts. <br /> COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS <br /> Mayor Biard opened the floor for comments from citizens. Mr. Tommy <br /> Bryant addressed the council and said at a recent planning meeting, the Master <br /> Street Plan was discussed. Mr. Bryant said if the council was going to consider <br /> making Main and College two way streets, they might want to do so now as the <br /> Hwy Commission is in the planning stages for the widening of Hwy 167 from <br /> Main Street to Cave City. <br />
