Councilmember Smart moved to read the third reading by title only and <br /> Councilmember Terrell seconded. The roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. <br /> Mayor Biard read the ordinance by title and Councilmember Matthews moved to <br /> adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Krug seconded and the roll call count was <br /> 7 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given No. 2006-9-1. <br /> ***THIRD READING OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO EXEMPT THE CITY <br /> FROM SHIELDED LIGHTING ACT. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to read the third reading by title only and <br /> Councilmember Pectol seconded. The roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. <br /> The Mayor read the ordinance by title and Councilmember Matthews moved to <br /> adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Shetron seconded and the roll call count <br /> was 7 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given No. 2006-9-2. <br /> Then, Councilmember Matthews moved that when ever possible street <br /> lights are to be replaced with shielded lights. Councilmember Smart seconded <br /> and all voted for. The council plans to work on a lighting ordinance for the city. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> ***CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE OPERATION OF ALL <br /> TERRAIN VEHICLES ON ALL CITY PROPERTIES <br /> Councilmember Shetron introduced an ordinance that would prohibit the <br /> operating of all terrain vehicles (ATV's) on all properties owned by the City of <br /> Batesville. Mayor Biard read the ordinance in full and Councilmember Shetron <br /> moved to suspend the second and third readings. Councilmember Krug <br /> seconded and the roll call count was 5 for (Carpenter, Krug, Matthews, Pectol <br />
