Councilmember Carpenter moved to go out for bids and Councilmember Mynatt <br /> seconded. All voted for. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Carpenter moved to go into executive session and <br /> Councilmember Mynatt seconded. All voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, Councilmember Terrell moved to appoint <br /> Steven Lewis to the Planning Commission. Councilmember Carpenter seconded and <br /> all voted for. Mr. Lewis will replace Ms. Stephanie Isaacs. The term will run through <br /> 6/10/2009. <br /> MAYOR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mayor Biard informed the Council that a group of citizens from Southside have <br /> filed a petition with the County Court to hold an election on incorporation. Mayor Biard <br /> wanted to make the council aware of this and stated to the council the he believed after <br /> talking to legal representation that the group will have to have a resolution from the City <br /> to present to the County Court in order to accomplish this request. The Mayor also <br /> encouraged the council to attend the hearing if one is set. <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Carpenter moved that the <br /> meeting be adjourned.
