MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 29, 2005 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on November 29, at 5:30 <br /> PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Krug gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, John Cooke, Fred Krug, Doug <br /> Matthews, Dana Mynatt, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. Also present were the <br /> City Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember Pectol was absent. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Mynatt seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Terrell moved to approve the prepared agenda as amended. <br /> Councilmember Smart seconded and all voted for. <br /> REPORT ON COUNCILMEMBER PECTOL <br /> Councilmember Krug reported to the council that he had visited with <br /> Councilmember Jerry Pectol the previous Sunday and he was doing very well. He <br /> hopes to return to the council in December. <br /> RESOLUTION WITH PUTIAN CITY, CHINA <br /> Councilmember Terrell introduced a resolution to establish relations with <br /> Putian City, China to enhance common goals between their city and Batesville. Dr. <br /> Gary Buckner, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Batesville addressed the council and <br /> explained the concept of having "sister city relations" with Putian City and its Mayor, <br /> Yi Zhan. Mayor Biard read the resolution and Councilmember Smart moved that it be <br /> adopted. Councilmember Cooke seconded and all voted for. The resolution was <br /> given # 2005-11-1-R. <br />
