The council approved <br /> the request to re-bid the vehicle. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to go into executive session and Councilmember <br /> Gaither seconded. All voted for. Upon returning from executive session, the council <br /> considered three commission appointments. Councilmember Gaither moved to appoint <br /> Mr. Glenn Whiteaker to the Utility Commission. Mr. Whiteaker will replace Mr. Jim <br /> Reid and his term will run through May 10, 2008. Councilmember Pectol seconded and <br /> all voted for. Councilmember Cargill moved to re-appoint Dr. Paul Hance and Mrs. <br /> Miriam Lee to the Planning Commission. Their terms will expire June 10, 2008. <br /> Councilmember Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> MAYOR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mayor Biard told the council that a lady purchased a cemetery lot for her son who <br /> did not want the lot. The Mayor said the lady needed the money and has asked the city to <br /> refund her the purchase price of the lot. Councilmember Ford moved to give the refund <br /> and Councilmember Gaither seconded. All voted for. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENTS <br /> The Council was given a copy of the financial statements for April, 2003. <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Mitchum moved that the <br /> meeting be adjourned.
