Mayor Biard read the ordinance that would adopt various standard codes relating <br /> to inspection activities of the City. Councilmember Gaither moved to adopt the <br /> ordinance and Councilmember Pectol seconded. The roll call count was 7 for and 0 <br /> against. The ordinance was given #98-3-1. Councilmember Carpenter moved to adopt <br /> the emergency clause and Councilmember Cargill seconded. The roll call count was 7 <br /> for and 0 against. <br /> CONSIDER A RESOLUTION SETTING INSPECTION FEES FOR THE CITY OF <br /> BATESVILLE <br /> Mayor Biard read a resolution setting inspection fees for plumbing, electrical, <br /> heating, venting air-conditioning, and refrigeration inspections for the City of Batesville. <br /> Mr. Chad McClure and Mr. Paul Mitchell, inspectors for the City said that the new rates <br /> would bring the City in line with the County rates but would still be lower than most city <br /> inspections. Councilmember Cargill moved to adopt the new rates and Councilmember <br /> Carpenter seconded. All voted for. The resolution was given #98-3-1 <br /> REPORT ON LYON STREET PROPERTY <br /> Chad McClure reported that he issued a wrecking permit for the property on Lyon <br /> Street. He said he went by the property today and they were in the process of <br /> demolishing the house and removing it from the property. He said they were about a <br /> third of the way through the project. <br /> NAME FOR THE FOUNTAIN PROJECT AT ST. LOUIS AND BOSWELL STREETS <br /> Mayor Biard recommended naming the fountain project at St. Louis and Boswell <br /> Streets "Veterans Memorial Plaza". Councilmember Cargill moved to name the plaza <br /> with the Mayor's request and Councilmember Gaither seconded. All voted for. <br />
