Councilmember Ford moved to remove the signs and carefully consider new <br /> wording for the signs. Councilmember Insell seconded and all voted for. <br /> ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE — THIRD READING <br /> Mayor Biard read the animal control ordinance for the third reading. The <br /> council discussed the wording of the ordinance regarding livestock in the city <br /> limits. It was agreed that the wording needed to be changed, therefore, <br /> Councilmember Gaither moved to table the ordinance until such changes could <br /> be made. Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING FOR CLOSING CHURCH STREET <br /> Mayor Biard officially opened the public hearing for the purpose of closing <br /> Church Street. The Mayor asked if there was anyone present who would like to <br /> speak in regards to the street closing. There being none, the Mayor closed the <br /> public hearing. <br /> CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE CHURCH STREET <br /> Councilmember Insell introduced an ordinance, which would vacate First, <br /> or Church Street. Mayor Biard read the ordinance and Councilmember <br /> Carpenter moved to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the second <br /> reading. Councilmember Insell seconded and the roll call count was 8 for and 0 <br /> against. The Mayor read the ordinance for the second reading. Councilmember <br /> Insell moved to further suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the third <br /> and final reading. Councilmember Cargill seconded and the roll call count was 8 <br /> for and 0 against.
