MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 10, 1998 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on November 10, at <br /> 5:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Pectol gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved that the minutes from the last meeting be <br /> approved. Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda and <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded. All voted for. <br /> Y2K PRESENTATION: BLAKE WATKINS, GUEST — STEVE MASSEY, HAIL <br /> TECHNOLOGIES <br /> Mr. Blake Watkins with Arkansas Eastman addressed the council with a <br /> Year 2000 presentation. Mr. Steve Massey with Hail Technologies, Greg <br /> Wolverton with the Sheriff's Department and Faye England with Police <br /> Dispatching were also in attendance. Mr. Wolverton said the Sheriff's <br /> Department and City Dispatch officers were in pretty good shape. City <br /> employees Johnny Coles and Robert Cogar attended a school in Alabama last <br /> week to learn about the Year 2000 regarding the city stop lights. Mr. Dale Rust <br /> said the 911 system depends on Southwestern Bell being compliant. Mr. <br /> Watkins suggested that the City get letters of compliance from venders as well as <br /> doing test runs to insure compliance. <br /> REFERRED FROM PREVIOUS MEETING: REARRANGEMENT OF STOP <br /> SIGNS AT 9T" & VINE STREETS <br />
