MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> AUGUST 10, 1999 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on August 10, at 5:30 <br /> P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Upon roll call, all the council answered present except Councilmember Bone. <br /> Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting <br /> and Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> A motion was made and seconded to approve the prepared agenda as <br /> amended. All voted for. <br /> CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO RE-ZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-2 <br /> TO C-2 — CITY OF BATESVILLE — LOCKKEEPERS HOUSE <br /> Mayor Biard read an ordinance that would re-zone certain property from <br /> R-2 residential to C-2 commercial. The property is owned by the City of <br /> Batesville and is at Riverside Park where the Iockkeeper's house is located. A <br /> motion was made and seconded to suspend the rules and place the ordinance <br /> on the second reading. The roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. The Mayor <br /> read the ordinance for the second reading. A motion was made and seconded to <br /> further suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the third reading. The roll <br /> call count was 7 for and 0 against. The Mayor read the ordinance for the final <br /> reading. A motion was made and seconded to adopt the ordinance. The roll call <br /> count was 7 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given #99-8-1. A motion was <br /> made and seconded to adopt the emergency clause. All voted for. <br />
