MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 9, 1999 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on November 9, at <br /> 5:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Ford gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council <br /> answered present except Councilmember Bone. Also present were the City <br /> Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Ford seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Insell seconded and all voted for. <br /> PRESENTATION BY AIRPORT COMMISSION <br /> Airport Commissioner Steve Bryant addressed the council regarding the <br /> recent improvements made to the airport and proposed improvements for the <br /> future. Mr. Bryant said the improvements made this year have brought <br /> approximately 1.2 million dollars in revenues to the City. Mr. Bryant asked the <br /> council to consider the Airport when appropriating funds for the 2000 budget. <br /> LANDERS THEATHER <br /> On November 4, a portion of the Landers Theater collapsed and fell <br /> damaging a warehouse and heat and air system belonging to Schwegman's <br /> Office Supply. Mr. Terry King, owner of Schwegman's, was at the meeting. Mr. <br /> King said something needed to be done with the building mainly because of the <br /> danger. He said he agreed with Councilmember Bone with keeping the facade of <br /> the building intact. The Mayor asked the media to relay to the public the fact that <br />
