Mrs. Sharon Taylor, City Safety Director, addressed the council regarding <br /> the A.D.A. Lawsuit filed against Batesville and several other cities in Arkansas. <br /> Mrs. Taylor said the most expensive part in becoming A.D.A compliant will be the <br /> sidewalks in the downtown area. All of the Departments in the City need work to <br /> become compliant. Mrs. Taylor said the Parks Department has several areas <br /> that need to be corrected and some have already been completed. The Mayor <br /> said funds will have to be appropriated in the 2000 budget to work on becoming <br /> A.D.A. compliant. <br /> REVIEW BILLS <br /> After a review of the bills, Councilmember Insell moved to pay the bills and <br /> Councilmember Gaither seconded. All voted for. <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Mitchum moved that the <br /> meeting be adjourned. Councilmember Insell seconded and all voted for. <br /> JOE M.
