MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> NOVEMBER 14, 2000 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on November 14, at <br /> 5:30 PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Mr. Nick Baxter with the Batesville Water Utility gave the invocation. Upon roll <br /> call, all the council answered present. Also present were the City Clerk and the <br /> City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Insell seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Insell moved to approve the prepared agenda and <br /> Councilmember Ford seconded. All voted for. <br /> ANIMAL APPRECIATION PRESENTATION FROM ANIMAL CONTROL <br /> Animal Control Officer Bill Burrus and Mrs. Bev Finch with the <br /> Independence County Humane Society presented plaques of appreciation to Mr. <br /> Tim Cowgur, Ms. Catherine Jefferies and Mr. Wesley Winkle all with Wal-Mart <br /> and Mrs. Pat Jones, representing the Jones Family, Ms. Shelly Garth, Ms. <br /> Rebecca Payne and Ms. Kristy Campbell all with the Batesville Guard. Mr. <br /> Burrus personally thanked Wal-Mart and the Guard for all the support they have <br /> given the Batesville Animal Control Department. <br /> PRESENTATION BY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br /> Mrs. Debbie Allen, Director of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, <br /> and Mr. Woody Castleberry, board member, addressed the council.
