Mayor Biard said the council will take the resolution under advisement and <br /> placed on the next agenda. <br /> ORDINANCE REGARDING SEWER RATES (THIRD READING) <br /> Mayor Biard read the ordinance that would raise the sewer rates in full for <br /> the third reading. He then opened the floor for discussion. After a discussion, <br /> Councilmember Carpenter moved to adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Bone <br /> seconded and the roll call count was 5 for (Bone, Cargill, Carpenter, Mitchum <br /> and Bone) and 3 against (Ford, Gaither and Pectol). The motion carried. The <br /> ordinance was given #2001-2-1. <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) <br /> Mayor Biard read a resolution that would adopt a Self-Evaluation and <br /> Transition Plan Shortlist for the City of Batesville. Safety Director Sharon Taylor <br /> was present to answer questions regarding the City's compliance with the ADA. <br /> Councilmember Bone moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember Cargill <br /> seconded. All voted for. The resolution was given #2001-2-1 <br /> CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 2000 BUDGET <br /> Mayor Biard read an ordinance that would amend the 2000 Budget <br /> adopted on December 14, 1999. Councilmember Bone moved to suspend the <br /> rules and place the ordinance on the second reading. Councilmember Watkins <br /> seconded and the roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. The Mayor read the <br /> ordinance for the second reading and Councilmember Watkins moved to further <br /> suspend the rules and place the ordinance of the third reading.
