Mayor Elumbaugh asked Parks Director
Jeff Owens to address the council with the recent events regarding the center. Mr.
Owens said the bond company is continuing their mediations between GAG and
CMM. He said GAG has hired a plumber to complete the pool deck. GAG is
currently accepting bids from HVAC and Plumbing companies to finish the project if
CMM does not return to the job. Mr. Owens said although the issues with CMM
has slowed down the project, work is continuing. He said the job goes into
liquidated damages sometime around the 25th or 28th of October which will be
$1,000.00 per day, including weekends. Mayor Elumbaugh asked what percentage
of the project has been completed. Mr. Owens said approximately 75-80% of the
project is complete.
