MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> DECEMBER 27, 2016 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on December 27th at 5:30 pm at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Billing <br /> Supervisor Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following <br /> Councilmembers answered present; Sonya Crafton, Margaret Henley, Paige Hubbard, <br /> Doug Matthews, Chris Poole and David Shetron. Also present were the City Clerk <br /> Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmembers Chris Beller and <br /> Tommy Bryant were absent. Councilmember Matthews was present for roll call but had <br /> to leave for a few minutes. He returned for item B under unfinished business. <br /> Councilmember Hubbard moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Poole seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> A) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY A TAX ON CERTAIN <br /> ACCOMMODATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF AN <br /> ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION COMMISSION <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to table the second reading until the first <br /> meeting in January. Mr. Shetron said due to the holidays and the <br /> changing of the council meeting dates, the public may need more time to <br /> be informed about the proposed ordinance. Councilmember Poole <br />
