CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO RE-ZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY <br /> FROM R-2 TO C-1 <br /> Councilmember Ford introduced an Mayor Biard read an ordinance that would re-zone <br /> certain property owned by Mrs. Leonard Yost, U.F.O., Inc., Gerald Lewis, J.D. Holder, Chris <br /> Martin, City of Batesville, W.L.T., Inc., Richard Dahlquist, Paul Holland, and Paulene Wolford <br /> from R-2 to C-1. The property description is all of block 80 of the Maxfields 3rd Eastern <br /> Addition and all of Block 3 of the Grays Addition (the corner of Sidney and Lawrence Streets). <br /> Councilmember Cargill moved to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the second <br /> reading. Councilmember Watkins seconded and the roll call count was 6 for and 0 against. The <br /> Mayor read the ordinance for the second reading and Councilmember Cargill moved to further <br /> suspend the rules and place the it on the third reading. Councilmember Watkins seconded and <br /> the roll count was 6 for and 0 against. The Mayor read the ordinance for the final reading and <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Cargill seconded and the <br /> roll call count was 6 for and 0 against. The ordinance was given No. 2002-5-1. Councilmember <br /> Cargill moved to adopt the emergency clause and Councilmember seconded. The roll call count <br /> was 6 for and 0 against. <br /> CONSIDER RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CONDEMNATION FOR CERTAIN <br /> PROPERTIES IN BATESVILLE <br /> Code Enforcement Officer Chad McClure showed the council several pieces of properties <br /> that are currently under condemnation or to be considered for condemnation. Property located at <br /> 180 Craig Street was condemned on October 2, 2001. Mr. McClure said the low bid for tearing <br /> down the structure and cleaning up the property was around $2,000.00. Councilmember Cargill <br /> asked the Mayor to contact the County and see if they could use their equipment to remove the <br />
