City Clerk Denise Johnston informed the council of 3 fixed asset disposals. <br /> Parks, 1985 Ford F700, sold on GovDeals for$1,075.00; Street department, 1998 <br /> Dodge pickup, sold on GovDeals for $752.50 and Sanitation department, 1991 Ford <br /> F700, sold on GovDeals for$865.37. <br /> Mr. Johnathan Abbott addressed the council with final numbers for the Christmas <br /> lights at Riverside Park. He said the car counter showed 37,380 cars went through the <br /> park, however, the counter was not working for about a week so he thinks the total is <br /> really closer to 40,000. Mr. Abbott read an email from a lady from south Arkansas who <br /> came to Batesville to view our light display and how she and her grandkids enjoyed the <br /> trip. Mr. Abbott said local business had donated $15,600 for new displays and he has <br /> already had some businesses say they want to donate for 2017. The ice skating rink <br /> did well also even though we had rain 3 of the weekends that we were open. <br /> Councilmembers Bryant and Henley thanked Mr. Abbott and his crew for doing such a <br /> fantastic job on the light displays. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> None <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no more business, Councilmember Matthews moved that the <br /> meeting be adjourned.
