Councilmember Beller introduced an ordinance to waive competitive bidding <br /> requirements on certain items for 2017. Councilmember Matthews moved to <br /> suspend the rules and read the ordinance by title only. Councilmember Bryant <br /> seconded and the electronic roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. Mr. Meitzen <br /> read the ordinance by title. Councilmember Matthews further moved to suspend <br /> the second and third readings. Councilmember Bryant seconded and the <br /> electronic roll call count is 7 for and 0 against. Councilmember Matthews moved <br /> to adopt the ordinances and Councilmember Bryant seconded. The electronic <br /> roll call count was 6 for, 0 against and 1 (Shetron) abstained. The ordinance was <br /> given #2017-01-04. Councilmember Bryant moved to adopt the emergency <br /> clause and Councilmember Henley seconded. The electronic roll call vote was 6 <br /> for, 0 against and 1 (Shetron) abstained. <br /> F) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to go into executive session. Councilmember <br /> Hubbard seconded and all voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, Councilmember Matthews moved to re- <br /> appoint Mr. Doug Lee, Mr. Terrell Tebbetts and Mr. Nelson Barnett, all to the <br /> Historic District Commission. Councilmember Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> Their terms will expire 01/08/2020. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh read a proclamation proclaiming January 20th Mark Martin day <br /> for the City of Batesville. Mr. Martin will be inducted to the Nascar Hall of Fame <br />
