Fire Chief Brent Gleghorn addressed the council. Chief Gleghorn gave the <br /> council a year-end report showing the total calls made and responded to for <br /> 2016. His department received 433 calls of which 63 were fire calls and 140 <br /> rescue calls. The Chief said he has found a used truck that might fit the City's <br /> needs. It is located in Battlecreek, Michigan and the asking price is $435,000.00. <br /> He said he thought he could get the truck for around $390,000.00. After a <br /> discussion, Councilmember Shetron recommend that the public safety committee <br /> meet and further discuss the City's options. <br /> D) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE RULES AND PROCEDURES <br /> FOR THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. <br /> Councilmember Beller introduced an ordinance to adopt the rules and <br /> procedures for the transaction of business of the Batesville City Council. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to suspend the rules and read the ordinance <br /> by title only. Councilmember Bryant seconded and the electronic roll call count <br /> was 7 for and 0 against. Mr. Meitzen read the ordinance by title only. <br /> Councilmember Bryant further moved to suspend the second and third readings. <br /> Councilmember Shetron seconded and the electronic roll call count is 7 for and 0 <br /> against. Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the ordinances and <br /> Councilmember Bryant seconded. The electronic roll call count was 7 for and 0 <br /> against. The ordinance was given #2017-01-03. <br /> E) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING ON CERTAIN <br /> ITEMS FOR 2017 <br />
