MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> APRIL 11, 2017 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on April 11th at 5:30 pm at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Billing <br /> Supervisor Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following <br /> Councilmembers answered present; Chris Beller, Tommy Bryant, Margaret Henley, <br /> Doug Matthews, Chris Poole and David Shetron. Also present were the City Clerk <br /> Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmembers Crafton and <br /> Hubbard were absent. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Beller seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Beller moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Henley seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council with his monthly report. The <br /> Chief furnished the council with a statics report for March. The report indicated <br /> 30 accidents, 8 incidents, 47 arrests of which 18 were felonies and 29 were <br /> misdemeanors. Chief Cockrill also said he recently filled his one vacant position <br /> and he will be sending 3 to police academy in August. He said his two new <br />
