Councilmember <br /> Matthews moved to use Otis for the repairs and to go out for bids for the annual <br /> elevator contract. Councilmember Beller seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Hubbard recommended we ask for references when considering <br /> the bids. The council also discussed the elevators at the new Community Center. <br /> When the warranty expires, we need to include this in with our bids. <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to pay for the repairs from the Alcohol Tax. He said <br /> the repairs of the elevators is a safety issue and therefore can be paid from the tax. <br /> The motion failed for the lack of a second. <br /> D) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember Bryant moved to go into executive session to discuss the hiring, <br /> firing, promotion or demotion of one or more city employees. Councilmember <br /> Hubbard seconded and all voted for. Upon returning from executive session, <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to reappoint Ms. Patty Cash to the Batesville <br /> Housing Authority. Councilmember Beller seconded and all voted for. Ms. Cash's <br /> term will expire May 27, 2022. <br /> E) PAID BILLS REPORT <br /> The council was given a copy of the April, 2017 paid bills report for review. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh said he wanted to remind everyone that school will be out next <br /> week and there will be lots of children out playing so please be careful when driving. <br /> The Mayor said they are going through the "punch list" at the Community Center and <br />
