Mr. <br /> Johnson said the focus for the past couple of weeks was clean up from the recent <br /> floods. Fortunately, he said, most of the damage is debris and not erosion. He <br /> said there is a possibility of some damage to some of the Riverwalk lights. That will <br /> be determined once everything is dried out. He reported that the utility construction <br /> in East Batesville is progressing. When school is out next week, they will be more <br /> aggressive in their work. Both of the treatment plants are working well. The <br /> Westside large sewer project is still in the easement acquiring stage. He said he is <br /> waiting on the paperwork from the railroad to purchase the portion of land to be <br /> used for the sewer expansion. He said he still has a handful of additional <br /> easement to obtain but is waiting to acquire the railroad property before proceeding <br /> with the other easements. <br /> C) JOHNATHAN ABBOTT TO DISCUSS ELEVATOR INSPECTIONS <br /> Mr. Johnathan Abbott, Cemetery and Landscape Supervisor and Municipal Building <br /> Superintendent, addressed the council regarding a recent inspection of the <br /> Municipal Building elevators. Because of new regulations, the elevators have to be <br /> updated and additional equipment added for safety purposes. Mr. Abbott said he <br /> called 3 elevator companies for estimates for the repairs. Thyssenkrupp Elevator, <br /> which is who our elevator contract is with, returned a bid of$17,422.00. <br /> Schindler's bid was $10,600.00 and Otis, $6,943.00. Mr. Abbott said our contract <br />
