<br />a minimum of 60,.00.0 square feet. The width of
<br />the lot should be at least 200 feet;
<br />b. If a public water supply is proposed and an
<br />individual septic tank absorption field system is
<br />to be used for sewage disposal, the lot size should
<br />be a minimum of 40,000 square feet and the width of
<br />the lot should be at least one-third (1/3) the
<br />depth of the lot.
<br />The lot width and size requirements may be varied in
<br />areas where percolation rates and sub -surface
<br />conditions permit and approval of the Arkansas State
<br />Department of Health is obtained. In those instances
<br />where lots have been platted and recorded prior to
<br />the adoption of this ordinance, the lot sizes will
<br />not apply.
<br />No septic tank or cesspool shall be permitted to
<br />discharge to any natural outlet.
<br />Section: 2. Article V, Use of Public Sewers, Section 3(b), of
<br />Ordinance 717 of City of Batesville, Arkansas, shall be amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />b. Any waters or wastes containing toxic or
<br />poisonous solids, liquids, or gases in sufficient
<br />quantity, either singly or by interaction with
<br />other wastes, to injure or interfere with any sewer
<br />treatment process, or any part of the sewer treat-
<br />ment facilities or sanitary sewerage works, or
<br />create any hazard in the receiving waters of the
<br />sewage treatment plant, including but not limited
<br />to cyanides in excess of 0.003 as CN in the wastes
<br />as discharged to the public sewer.
<br />Section: 3. Article V. Use of Public Sewers, Section 3(c), of
<br />Ordinance 717 of City of Batesville, Arkansas, shall be amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />C. Any waters or wastes having a pH lower than
<br />6.0 or having any other corrosive property capable
<br />of causing damage or hazard to structures, sewers,
<br />equipment or appurtenances thereto or to personnel
<br />of the sewage works.
<br />Sec tion: 4. Article V, Use of Public Sewers, Section 3(d�, of
<br />Ordinance 717 of City of Batesville, Arkansas, shall be amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />d. Solid or viscous substances in quantities or of
<br />such ,size capable of causing obstruction to the flow
<br />in seivers or pumping facilities, or other inter-
<br />ference with the proper operation of the sewage
<br />works such as, but not limited to ashes, cinders,
<br />sand, mud, straw, shavings, metal, glass, rags,
<br />reathers, tar, plastics, wood, unground garbage,
<br />whole blood, pauch manure, hair and fleshings,
<br />entrails and paper dishes, cups, milk containers,
<br />etc. either whole or ground by garbage grinders.
