1 <br />ARTICLE XII <br />SUPPLEMENTAL INDENTURES <br />EM <br />Section 1201. The City and the Trustee may, from time to time, without <br />the approval of any bondholder, enter into such indentures supplemental hereto as <br />shall not be inconsistent with the terms and provisions hereof (which supplemental <br />indentures shall thereafter form a part hereof), (a) to cure any ambiguity or formal <br />defect or omission in this Indenture or in any supplemental indenture, or (b) to <br />grant to or confer upon the Trustee for the benefit of the bondholders any additional <br />rights, remedies, powers, authority or security that may lawfully be granted to or <br />conferred upon the bondholders or the Trustee, or (c) to subject to the lien and <br />pledge of this Indenture additional revenues, properties or collateral. <br />Section 1202. Subject to the terms and provisions contained in this <br />Section, and not otherwise, the holders of not less than two-thirds (2/3) in <br />aggregate principal amount of the bonds then outstanding shall have the right, <br />from time to time, anything contained in this Indenture to the contrary notwith- <br />standing, to consent to and approve the execution by the City and the Trustee of <br />such indenture or indentures supplemental hereto as shall be deemed necessary <br />and desirable by the City for the purpose, of modifying, altering, amending, adding <br />to or rescinding, in any parlticular, any of the terms or provisions contained in this <br />Indenture or in any supplemental indenture; provided, however, that nothing herein <br />contained shall permit, or be construed as permitting (a) an extension of the maturity <br />of the principal of or the interest on any bond issued hereunder, or (b) a reduction <br />in the principal amount of any bond or the rate of interest thereon, or (c) the creation <br />of a lien upon the mortgaged property or a pledge of the revenues pledged to the bonds <br />other than the lien and pledge created by this Indenture, except this sub -section <br />(c) shall not be construed as prohibiting the creation of a lien upon the mortgaged <br />property and a pledge of said revenues in connection with bonds of the City to <br />
