MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> APRIL 23, 2019 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on April 23rd at 5:30 pm at the Municipal <br /> Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Office Manager Nick <br /> Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers answered present; <br /> Ronda Bryant, Tommy Bryant, Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Fred Krug, Doug <br /> Matthews and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk Denise Johnston and City <br /> Attorney Tim Meitzen. <br /> Councilmember Fredricks moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br /> Councilmember T. Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember T. <br /> Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council with his monthly department report. <br /> For the month of March, the Chief reported 37 accidents, 65 incidents, 10 felony <br /> arrests and 21 misdemeanor arrests. Chief Cockrill announced the ribbon cutting and <br /> open house for the new police department has been scheduled for May 10th from <br /> 11:00 to 1:00. He said they will be providing lunch and encouraged all to attend. <br /> B) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />
