MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> MAY 13, 2019 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on May 13, at 5:30 pm at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Office <br /> Manager Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers <br /> answered present; Ronda Bryant, Tommy Bryant, Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige <br /> Hubbard, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk <br /> Denise Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. <br /> Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br /> Councilmember R. Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember R. Bryant moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Poole seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council to give his April department <br /> report. Chief Cockrill said he recently scrapped 4 vehicles. The vehicles that are <br /> in this year's budget were ordered last October however there was a mix-up with <br /> the State contract so they had to re-bid the trucks. The Chief said he is not sure <br /> if we would even get the new vehicles this year. Mayor Elumbaugh told the <br /> council because of the low fleet in the Police Department, the Chief has put his <br />
