Bryant moved to authorize the Mayor and Police Chief to <br /> locate and purchase of a new truck for the Police Department. Councilmember <br /> Matthews seconded and all voted for. <br /> Chief Cockrill invited the council to the Open House and ribbon cutting of the new <br /> Police Department. The event isFriday June 17th from 11:00 — 1:00. Fred's Fish <br /> House will be catering the event. <br /> B) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with his monthly report. <br /> Mr. Johnson said he recently gave Councilmember Bryant a flash drive with the <br /> proposed drainage and storm water manual along with a master street plan. He <br /> said he can provide a copy to anyone who would like to read the proposal. Mr. <br /> Johnson said the painting of the Eagle Mountain water tank should begin on <br /> August 15th and the Section III sewer construction should be ready for bids very <br /> soon. The one-arm garbage truck should be here any day. <br /> C) EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilmember T. Bryant moved to go into executive session to consider <br /> commission appointments. Councilmember Fredricks seconded and all voted <br /> for. Upon returning from execution session, Councilmember Fredricks moved to <br /> appoint Ms. Shannon Haney to the Historic District Commission to fill the <br /> unexpired term of Mr. Doug Lee who recently resigned.
