B) ENGINEER’S REPORT <br />City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with his monthly report. <br />Mr. Johnson began his report with reassuring everyone that all essential City <br />services would continue on, water and wastewater water are both still being <br />processed to the highest standards. Even though City offices are closed to walk <br />in traffic, payments are still being taken and service orders are still being done. <br />Mr. Johnson said there are several projects ongoing around the city and all are <br />progressing good. The Eagle Mtn. tank project is expected to finish up in <br />approximately 6 weeks. <br />C) PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL SAFE DIGGING MONTH <br />Mayor Elumbaugh read a proclamation proclaiming April, 2020 as Safe Digging <br />Month. He encouraged everyone to call 811 before you dig. Calling for a utility line <br />locate not only helps prevent unintentional damage to the underground <br />infrastructure but also helps with the safety of those digging. <br />D) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE <br />BONDS BY THE CITY OF BATESVILLE PUBLIC FACILITIES BOARD <br />Councilmember Bryant introduced a resolution to authorize the issuance of <br />revenue bonds by the City of Batesville Public Facilities Board on behalf of White <br />River Health Systems. Councilmember Bryant moved to suspend the rules and <br />read the resolution by title only. Councilmember Fredricks seconded and the <br />electronic roll call count was 7 for 0 against. Mr. Meitzen read the resolution by title <br />only. Councilmember Bryant pointed out Section 2 states the City of Batesville is <br />not liable or responsible for repayment of the bonds, just to be the facilitator. <br /> <br />
