<br /> <br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br />MARCH 14, 2023 <br /> <br />The Batesville City Council met in regular session on March 14, at 5:30 pm at the <br />Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. Utility Office <br />Manager Nick Baxter gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following Councilmembers <br />answered present; Tommy Bryant, Scott Fredricks, Julie Hinkle, Paige Hubbard, Fred <br />Krug, Doug Matthews, and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk Denise <br />Johnston and City Attorney Tim Meitzen. Councilmember Brittany Bennett was absent. <br />Councilmember Hinkle moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. <br />Councilmember Fredricks seconded and all voted for. <br />Councilmember Hubbard moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br />Councilmember Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br />CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Justin Angel addressed the council with several questions regarding the <br />upcoming Water Treatment Plant renovation. Mayor Elumbaugh explained to Mr. Angel <br />that the time allotted for citizens to make comments is not a dialog with the council, only <br />the citizens comments. However, the Mayor told Mr. Angel that he could present his <br />questions to the Mayor or appropriate person and get the answers he is requesting. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A) POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Police Chief Alan Cockrill addressed the council with his monthly report. Chief <br />Cockrill gave the council a detailed report showing accidents, and arrests for <br /> <br />
