City Council'Meeting <br /> .June 10.2025 <br /> Pagc 3 of 4 <br /> F) FINANCIAL REPORT <br /> The council was provided a copy of the May financial report. <br /> COMMENTS FROM THE MAYOR <br /> The mayor discussed scheduling the next council meetings and a ground breaking <br /> ceremony for the Riverside Park project. <br /> He announced visitation for the late Jeff Owens,parks director, would begin at 12:00 <br /> p.m. with services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 at the Community Center. <br /> He also called for a motion to approve the lowest bid purchase for the new super slide <br /> for the landscaping department to use at Christmas and other events. A motion was made <br /> by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by Councilmember Hinkle to approve the <br /> purchase in the amount of$60,930.57 to Super Mega Slide LLC. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> The mayor called for a motion to approve the purchase of a recumbent bike for the <br /> community center from the perpetual maintenance fund. A motion was made by <br /> Councilmember Reeves, seconded by Councilmember Hinkle to approve the proposed <br /> purchase in the amount of$7,215.00 before taxes and fees to Advanced Exercise. Conner Cunningham and Gage Wood. They could potentially end <br /> up pitching and batting against each other should their teams both win their games to <br /> advance in the series. <br />
