Councilmember Matthews <br /> seconded and all voted for. <br /> The Mayor told the council that the 2008 Ford 1-ton truck used to pull the leaf <br /> machine is in need of an injector pump. Two estimates were acquired with the lowest <br /> being $8,500.00. Also, the transmission will need to be replaced in the near future <br /> which will cost approximately $4,500.00. He said the blue book value is $12,000 to <br /> $14,000. The Mayor asked for guidance from the council regarding the repairs. The <br /> council discussed the feasibility of repairing the vehicle and/or placing it on GovDeals to <br /> sell. The council instructed the Mayor to list the vehicle on GovDeals. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Matthews reported the Airport received a bid of approximately <br /> $675,000.00 for the terminal renovation. He said they were reviewing the bid and <br /> believe they will be able to reduce the cost a little. The Friends of the Airport are raising <br /> monies for the renovation. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Henley said she wanted to thank all those who joined in the Main <br /> Street festivities this past Saturday. The event was well attended and all seemed to <br /> have a great time. <br /> Councilmember Matthews inquired about the status of Assistant Street <br /> Superintendent Johnny Coles after his recent heart attack. The Mayor said Mr. Coles <br /> was recuperating at home and should be able to return to work in about four weeks. <br /> The council sends their best wishes to Mr. Coles. <br />
