All voted for. <br /> B) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council with his Engineer's Report. Mr. <br /> Johnson said not much has changed since the last meeting and asked the council if <br /> they had any questions for him. They discussed briefly the status of the Wastewater <br /> Treatment Plant improvements. Mr. Johnson said the project is about 90% complete <br /> but is still several months out from going live. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh asked City Attorney Lindsey Castleberry to address the council <br /> regarding a possible lawsuit. Mr. Castleberry said a delivery company damaged the carpet <br /> on the second floor when delivering a copy machine to one of our tenants. He said he has <br /> been dealing with the company for several months to try to negotiate a settlement for the <br /> damages. He said the company will not budge and they are about $1,000.00 off of the cost <br /> to replace the carpet. Mr. Castleberry said he would like to sue the delivery company in small <br /> claims court. Councilmember Bryant moved to proceed with the lawsuit and Councilmember <br /> Matthews seconded. All voted for. <br /> The Mayor invited everyone to attend his monthly Mayor's Meet and Greet scheduled <br /> for June 4t" from 5-6:30. The meeting will be held on the third floor, The Loft, of the Barnett <br /> Building. <br /> The Mayor said this season's first Movies in the Park was held this past weekend. <br /> Parks Director Jeff Owens said there were about 180 people in attendance. The Mayor also <br /> commented on the baseball tournaments held this past weekend. Thirty teams participated <br /> in the tournament with only one rainout. However, the large tournament with over 70 teams <br /> that was scheduled for week before last, was rained out. <br />
