Mayor Elumbaugh invited everyone to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony tomorrow at noon <br /> at the new Batesville Police Department. Tours of the facility will be available as well as hot <br /> dogs and drinks. The new Police Department will officially begin 6:00 AM on June 1St <br /> City Clerk Denise Johnston informed the council of a fixed asset disposal; a 2008 Ford <br /> F350, Unit 276 was traded in to Stanley Wood Chevrolet for a new 2015 Dodge one-ton <br /> truck. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> None <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Henley said she has had a call regarding speeding on Sidney Street <br /> and asked Chief Cockrill if they could patrol the area. <br /> Councilmember Shetron said there are a couple of bad eyesores around town. The <br /> first is the old Caudle's Family Restaurant, formerly Western Sizzlin. The restaurant has <br /> been empty for several years and is in bad need of repair. The second location is at the <br /> intersection of Boswell and Broad Streets. There are several modular buildings that seem to <br /> be empty and are very unappealing to look at. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, Councilmember Bryant moved that the meeting be <br /> adjourned.
