Mayor Elumbaugh invited everyone to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony tomorrow at noon
at the new Batesville Police Department. Tours of the facility will be available as well as hot
dogs and drinks. The new Police Department will officially begin 6:00 AM on June 1St
City Clerk Denise Johnston informed the council of a fixed asset disposal; a 2008 Ford
F350, Unit 276 was traded in to Stanley Wood Chevrolet for a new 2015 Dodge one-ton
truck.
LIAISON REPORTS
None
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Councilmember Henley said she has had a call regarding speeding on Sidney Street
and asked Chief Cockrill if they could patrol the area.
Councilmember Shetron said there are a couple of bad eyesores around town. The
first is the old Caudle's Family Restaurant, formerly Western Sizzlin. The restaurant has
been empty for several years and is in bad need of repair. The second location is at the
intersection of Boswell and Broad Streets. There are several modular buildings that seem to
be empty and are very unappealing to look at.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Councilmember Bryant moved that the meeting be
adjourned. Councilmember Henley seconded and all voted for.
RICK ELUMBAUGH, MAYOR
DENISE M. JOHNSTON, CITY CLERK
