Mr. <br /> Carius said all the deficiencies noted in the state review have been corrected. <br /> He said the recent fund raiser was a big success and he was pleased to <br /> announce that three new stores were planning to open downtown within the next <br /> couple of months. <br /> C) MR. LARRY JONES WITH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br /> Mr. Larry Jones addressed the council with an economic development update. <br /> Mr. Jones said the organization is going to restructure since the recent election to <br /> extend the economic development tax failed and collections will stop on April 1St <br /> Mr. Jones requested water and sewer hook-up for Flowers Bakery located in the <br /> new Independence County Economic Development Park. After a discussion, <br /> Councilmember Krug moved to grant the hook-up contingent upon the County <br /> annexing the property within the next 120 days. Councilmember Henley <br /> seconded and all voted for. <br /> D) CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING <br /> DISTRICT MAP <br /> Councilmember Matthews introduced an ordinance to amend the Batesville <br /> Zoning District Map. The property lies off Highway 167, E. Bluff Drive and 11th <br /> Street. Councilmember Matthews moved to suspend the rules and read the <br /> ordinance by title only. Councilmember Bryant seconded and the roll call count <br />
