MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> MAY 14, 2013 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on May 14, at 5:30 PM at the <br /> Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Cemetery Supervisor <br /> Jonathan Abbott gave the invocation. Upon roll call, the following council answered <br /> present; Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard, Davy Insell, Fred Krug, <br /> Douglas Matthews, Chris Poole, and David Shetron. Also present were Jennifer Corter <br /> and the City Attorney Lindsey Castleberry. Denise Johnston, City Clerk was absent. <br /> Councilmember Krug moved to approve the minutes from the previous two <br /> meetings. Councilmember Bryant seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Insell moved to approve the prepared agenda. Councilmember <br /> Henley seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A) MR. LARRY JONES WITH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br /> Mr. Larry Jones addressed the Council with an Economic Development update. He <br /> reported on a proposal to relocate an existing warehouse operation, helping an out <br /> of town industrial prospect acquire property for a downtown railroad station area, <br /> assisting a local food processing company in the acquisition of additional land for <br /> future expansion and helping an Independence County based company get started <br /> with the manufacturing and packaging of a new product they have recently licensed. <br />
