CONNIE SPURLIN ABOUT REIMBURSEMENT <br /> FOR SEWER BACKUP DAMAGES IN HER HOUSE <br /> Ms. Connie Spurlin addressed the council asking for reimbursement for damages <br /> she incurred at her home due to a sewer backup. Mr. Nick Baxter confirmed that <br /> the backup was caused by a blockage on the City side of the drain. Ms. Spurlin <br /> filed a claim with her insurance and is asking the City to pay for the remainder of <br /> the cost for a total of$1,480.83. Councilmember Shetron moved to reimburse <br /> Ms. Spurlin for the damages and Councilmember Poole seconded. All voted for. <br /> C) HEAR A REPORT FROM MS. PAULA GRIMES WITH MAIN STREET <br /> BATESVILLE <br /> Mr. Chris Black addressed the council on behalf of Ms. Paula Grimes who was ill. <br /> Mr. Black went over a few of the 2011 projects and proposed 2012 projects <br /> planned and supported by Main Street Batesville. They are asking the City to <br /> consider raising their support from $10,000 to $20,000 for 2012. Councilmember <br /> Shetron said he would like to wait and look at the City's financials after the first <br /> quarter of 2012 before making a decision. The rest of the council agreed and <br /> told Mr. Black they would consider the request after the first quarter reports are <br /> in. <br /> D) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2011 BUDGET <br /> Councilmember Insell introduced a resolution to amend the 2011 budget.
