A) RECOGNIZE THE STATE ARCHERY TEAMS FROM EAGLE MOUNTAIN <br /> MAGNET AND THE BATESVILLE JUNIOR HIGH <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh recognized the Arkansas State Archery Champions <br /> from Eagle Mountain Magnet and Batesville Junior High schools as well as <br /> Sulphur Rock Magnet for their recent accomplishments. Each team member was <br /> given a certificate. Mayor Elumbaugh praised the students, coaches, volunteer <br /> coaches and parents for this great achievement. <br /> B) RECOGNIZE MARY AMOS, FORMER AIRPORT MANAGER <br /> Mayor Elumbuagh recognized Ms. Mary Amos as the former Airport <br /> Manager. Ms. Amos retired after 32 years with the Airport. Ms. Amos thanked <br /> the Mayor and the Council and said she will continue to work on Mondays for a <br /> while to help with the transition. The Mayor presented Ms. Amos with a framed <br /> newspaper article about her retirement and years at the Airport. <br /> C) CONSIDER AN ORDIANCE REVISING THE CITY ORDINANCE <br /> PROHIBITING THE USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS ON CERTAIN <br /> PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE CITY OF BATESVILLE <br /> Councilmember Insell introduced an ordinance that would amend <br /> ordinance 2006-09-01, Chapter 12.16 of the Batesville Municipal Code to prohibit <br /> the use of tobacco products in Cemeteries owned by the City of Batesville. <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh told the council that this is one step toward making our <br /> community healthier and cleaner. Councilmember Matthews made a motion to <br /> suspend the rules and read by title only. Councilmember Henley second. The <br /> roll call was 8 for 0 against. City Attorney Castleberry read the ordinance by title <br />
