MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> AUGUST 8, 2000 <br /> The Batesville City Council met for its regular meeting on August 8, at <br /> 5:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember gave the invocation. Upon roll call, all the council answered <br /> present. Also present were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. <br /> Councilmember Insell moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting. Councilmember Ford seconded and all voted for. <br /> Councilmember Ford moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS REQUEST TO DISCUSS WITH COUNCIL CHANGING PARTS OF <br /> THE ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE <br /> Mrs. Ann Luster addressed the council with proposed changes to the <br /> current animal control ordinance. Mrs. Luster addressed about 6 areas that she <br /> would like to see changed in the current ordinance. Mrs. Luster asked the <br /> council to consider her changes. Ms. Bone asked to have the issue put on the <br /> next agenda. <br /> DISCUSSION WITH SHERIFF RON WEBB REGARDING COMPENSATION <br /> TIME AS REFERRED FROM THE JULY 11 COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Sheriff Ron Webb addressed the council regarding compensation time for <br /> CID officers. The council was given a copy of a letter from Chief Deputy Jim <br /> Smith rescinding an earlier memo to Brenda Bittle on the subject of accumulated <br /> compensatory time. Councilmember Insell said the problem still falls back on <br /> lack of personnel. After a discussion, the council decided to invite the entire <br />
