Code Enforcement Officer Chad McClure addressed the council with several <br /> properties that had been condemned. He told the council that everything had been <br /> done to try to collect the fees but to no avail and ask the council to place the liens upon <br /> these properties. The properties include 2029 Neeley Street for $1,794.80, 851 E. <br /> Broad Street for $1,829.06, 1712 Lyon Street for $1,794.80, 760 E. Broad Street for <br /> $744.80, 394 Pine Street for $1,444.80, 149 E. Pine Street for $1,094.80, 555 Melton <br /> Street for$394.80 and 921 Broad Street for$1,094.80. Councilmember Insell made a <br /> motion to precede with placing of the liens and Councilmember O'Neal seconded. All <br /> vote for. <br /> C) ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> City Engineer Damon Johnson gave the council an update of the proposal for the <br /> levee certification. He told the council that the quote from Freese and Nichols, Inc. had <br /> come in at $105,000 and up to and additional $39,500 for GEO services. The total <br /> project would not exceed $144,500. Councilmember Matthews made a motion to <br /> precede and Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> Mr. Johnson also told the council that the bid openings for the Wastewater Tunnel and <br /> related structures of the wastewater project would be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br /> C) REVIEW PAID BILLS REPORT <br /> The council was given a copy of the paid bills report for November, 2009 for <br /> review. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh told the council that the bids for the Commercial Sanitation <br /> truck were opened and the low bid was from Downing at a price of$195,250. <br />
