PLANS FOR AN AMPLATHEATER <br /> Mayor Biard told the council he wanted to proceed with the building of an <br /> amphitheater. He said the City had $250,000.00 designated for the amphitheater and he <br /> didn't think we would be getting any additional funding from the state or federal <br /> governments. He said he would have a drawing for the council to view soon. Parks <br /> director Randy Palmer was present to answer questions from the council. <br /> THIRD READING ON ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY OWNED BY <br /> ESTELLE RUCKER FROM R-2 TO C-1 <br /> Mayor Biard read an ordinance to rezone property owned by Estelle Rucker from <br /> R-2 to C-1 for the third reading. Councilmember Watkins moved adopt the ordinance <br /> and Councilmember Cargill seconded. The roll call count was 8 for and 0 against. The <br /> ordinance was given 42004-3-2. <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO CONSIDER REZONING PROPERTY AT 1388 <br /> LYON STREET OWNED BY BEN EARLS <br /> Councilmember Watkins introduced an ordinance that would rezone property at <br /> 1388 Lyon Street from R-2 to C-1. Mr. Ben Earls owns the property. Mayor Biard read <br /> the ordinance in full for the first reading. Councilmember Cargill moved to suspend the <br /> rules for the second and third reading. Councilmember Carpenter seconded and the roll <br /> call count was 8 for and 0 against. Councilmember Watkins moved to adopt the <br /> ordinance and Councilmember Pectol seconded. The roll call count was 8 for and 0 <br /> against. The ordinance was given 42004-3-3. <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO CONSIDER REZONING PROPERTY ON THE <br /> NW CORNER OF 14TH AND NEELEY STREETS FROM R-2- TO C-1 <br />
