Councilmember Mitchum moved to appoint Alan McNamee to the Utility <br /> Commission. Mr. McNamee will be filing the unexpired term of Jim Douglas who was <br /> transferred out of town. The term will be from 11/27/01 through 5/10/2004. <br /> Councilmember Watkins seconded and all voted for. <br /> CONSIDER RE-ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> Councilmember Gaither introduced an ordinance to re-zone certain property of <br /> Irene Ball, Bob and Martha Bales, Robert Garcia, Ricky Middleton, Ronald and Patsy <br /> Bennett and Marcus Bowers from R-2 to C-2. The Mayor read the ordinance in full and <br /> Councilmember Watkins moved to suspend the rules and place it on the second reading <br /> by title only. Councilmember Gaither seconded and the roll call was 6 for and 0 against. <br /> The Mayor read the ordinance for the second reading and Councilmember Watkins <br /> moved to further suspend the rules and place the ordinance on the third reading. <br /> Councilmember Cargill seconded and the roll call count was 6 for and 0 against. The <br /> Mayor read the ordinance for the final reading and Councilmember Gaither moved to <br /> adopt the ordinance. Councilmember Cargill seconded and the roll call count was 6 for <br /> and 0 against.
