Councilmember Fredricks moved to go into executive session and <br /> Councilmember Bryant seconded. All voted for. <br /> Upon returning from executive session, Councilmember Matthews moved to <br /> appoint Mr. Grant Goodwin to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Karl Kemp. <br /> Councilmember Fredricks seconded and all voted for. Mr. Goodwin's term will <br /> expire November 9, 2019. <br /> MAYOR COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh said he was pleased to announce that the City finally received <br /> the one-arm sanitation truck last night. Our employees are in training now and will soon <br /> be making a video on the importance on placing the can in the proper location. Utility <br /> Office Manager Nick Baxter is going to help with the video and we hope to put it on <br /> YouTube with a link on our City website and well as our local Channel 6 and Facebook. <br /> September 5t" will be the startup of the Mayor Monthly Meetings. The Mayor <br /> said the first meeting will be another "Dream Meeting" with the Chamber of Commerce <br /> and special guest Jim von Tungeln. Mr. von Tunglen is an Arkansas Municipal League <br /> staff planning consultant who is available for consultation as a service of the AML. The <br /> Mayor said when he started his monthly meetings in 2008, Mr. von Tunglen attended <br /> and the main topics were the hopes for a Wastewater Plant improvement, revitalized <br /> Main Street and a community center, all which have been completed. The meeting will <br /> be held at the community center gymnasium and he encouraged everyone to attend. <br /> Mayor Elumbaugh asked for the council's approval to loan the Airport <br /> approximately $250,000.00 for a reimbursable grant. Councilmember Bryant so moved <br /> and Councilmember Krug seconded. All voted for. <br />
