Depth to water table is
listed as >107 inches.
Geology
Category Information Source
Province Arkansas Valley Geologic Map of Arkansas (Haley,
et al., 1993)
Formation Alluvium and terrace deposits
Description Alluvium deposits are found on the flood
plains of the Arkansas River and significant
tributaries. The deposits indicated by this
notation are alluvial deposits of present
streams. Sediments will include gravels,
sands, silts, clays, and mixtures of any and
all of these clastic materials. The partition
of this unit from other Holocene alluvial
deposits was on the basis of geomorphic
considerations rather than age or lithology.
Fossils are rare and modern. The lower
contact is unconformable and the thickness
is variable.
The terrace deposits include a complex
sequence of unconsolidated gravels, sandy
gravels, sands, silty sands, silts, clayey silts,
and clays. The individual deposits are often
lenticular and discontinuous. At least three
terrace levels are recognized with the lowest
being the youngest. Fossils are rare. The
lower contact is unconformable and the
thickness is variable.
Hydrogeology
Category Information Source
Hydrogeologic
Gradient
Estimated to be to the south-southwest
based on the topography in the area.
USGS Topographic Map Batesville,
Arkansas Quadrangle, 2020
USGS Water Well Data
Category Information Source
Closest Water
Wells
The closest well is located approximately
1,500 feet south-southeast of the property.
The well is approximately 50 feet bgs.
EDR Radius Map Report
Flood Plain Data
Category Information Source
Flood Zones Zone AE: the subject property is located in
an area of increased flood risk with a
defined base flood elevation (BFE) of
approximately 265 feet.
EDR Radius Map Report and
FEMA Flood Map # 05063C0195E
8
